How to Maximize Salon Profit

As someone who’s gone from barely scraping by, to kinda winging it, to running multiple massive salons, let me tell you… the secret to maximizing your salon’s profit is a lot more simple than you think.

A lot of the time we have this massive vision for a super complicated business plan, and totally miss out on the basics - maximizing profit in individual services.

I’ve broken this down into a super simple to follow guide (with links to my favorite tools ofc cause I love making your life easier), but if you want the Cliffnotes, here they are!

1. Analyze product cost for each individual service. Giiiirl if you haven’t already done this, it is TIME. Product is getting more and more expensive with inflation, and you shouldn’t be eating that extra cost up in your profit margins! Try using SalonScale if you don’t have the time to track that all in your head (who does lol). 
2. Work your books. If you’re just showing up, taking your clients, and hoping for your dream income to magically appear, you’re not quite approaching this strategically. Luckily, fixing that is pretty easy! Grab the guide for an outline on how to build a strategy to hit your goal income daily and weekly!💸
3. Get smart about your sales. Raise your hand if you’re guilty of recommending product as a last ditch effort for a little extra cash at the end of the service🫣 Yeah, I used to do the exact same thing too, but my retail sales skyrocketed when I started pitching product as an option between two products targeting their hair goals rather than as a yes/no question.

In other news, on top of launching our Mastermind, this past month has been an incredibly exciting one for the Babes in Biz community.
